Jeep launched its compact SUV, the Compass in 2017 in India. It was the brand’s make or break product in the Indian market. What was remarkable was the pricing of the Compass back then. It was priced around Rs 16 lakh mark. This coaxed customers into buying a reputed off-roading vehicle at a relatively affordable price point. It was an opportunity to become a part of this legendary brand and people took an instant liking to it. However, it tried to play only on its brand name and a lot of features were missing when compared to the competition back then. So FCA updated the Compass regularly to meet the customer demands.
