Last year’s wooden spoon holders, Melbourne Renegades open their Big Bash League (BBL) 10 campaign on Saturday against the Perth Scorchers, who like them had an indifferent season with six wins in 14 games.
Renegades have certainly improved their bowling stocks with inclusion of left-arm pacer Josh Lalor and getting a host of overseas spinners inlcuding the likes of Imran Tahir, Imad Wasim and Noor Ahmed. In batting, they have added the South African batsman Rilee Rossouw.
Scorchers, on the other hand, will be delighted to see their captain Mitchell Marsh, fit and available. The Scorchers will also have their lead bowlers Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff back in their ine-ups and inclusion of New Zealand dasher Colin Munro will further increase their batting prowess.
