Peter Gilchrist of Singapore dethroned Sourav Kothari as the world billiards champion by beating the Indian in the long-up format played over five hours in three sessions on Saturday.
Gilchrist won 1307-967 to reclaim the title after six years. It was sweet revenge for Gilchrist who lost to Kothari at Leeds last year.
Gilchrist last won the title in 2013 defeating David Causier of England.
