Bengaluru, Dec 05: Stakes are high for the three political parties BJP, Congress and JD(S) as the 15 assembly segments in Karnataka will go for polling today. The polling will begin from 7 am to 6 pm and votes will be counted on December 9.
The by-election is particularly crucial to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa for the survival of his four months old government.
Currently, the BJP enjoys a slim majority in the assembly and has the support of 106 MLAs in the 224 members assembly, while the Congress-JDS Opposition has the support of 101 MLAs.
