The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is preparing to make sub-meters for individual apartments mandatory soon.
“The final stages of mandating the sub-meters for individual flats in apartment complexes will come into effect in the next three months. This will not only help in regulating excess usage, but also judicious usage of water. It is also a great step towards conservation of water,” said Tushar Girinath, chairman, BWSSB, speaking at the 26th Indian Plumbing Conference, that concluded on Saturday.
