WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States and Sudan plan to begin exchanging ambassadors again after a 23-year gap, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement on Wednesday in the latest sign of warming relations between the two countries.
Relations between Washington and Khartoum have improved since the overthrow in April of then-President Omar al-Bashir and the formation of a civilian transitional government in August.
