If you’re away from artificial light you’ll see moon shadows everywhere.
As our satellite waxes from First Quarter, it will get brighter and brighter until it rises at dusk on Sunday almost 100% illuminated. However, this month’s full “Hunter's Moon” will also appear to be particularly tiny, just 14 percent smaller than the size of the average full moon.
