It’s noteworthy that the LWB model has been developed with an investment of a whopping Rs 960 crore. In such a scenario, the lackluster response is a huge bummer for Maruti Suzuki. But all’s not lost as this model has been received well in the export markets. A case in the point here is UAE, where the Jimny is immensely popular in both 3-door and 5-door avatars. In fact, a dealership-level source informs us about a waiting period ranging from 1-6 months, based on the stock availability. That said, the demand for the 3-door remains higher, with a waiting period reaching over 12 months in some cases.
