Classic Legends Sells More Than 50,000 Jawa Motorcycles In 12 Months

Classic Legends has sold more than 50,000 Jawa motorcycles within one year of its full operations. The firm is now looking to expand production capacity as well as dealership network iIndia.

This sales milestone was achieved in an “effective twelve months of full operations, considering the complete halt during the lockdown period with near-zero inventories due to the waiting period the brand commands”, according to a statement Wednesday.

Classic Legends has also started exports to Europe and Nepal.

The wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. had in November 2018 revived the Czech motorcycle brand with three models—the Jawa, Jawa 42 and the Perak, which was launched a year later. The motorcycles are produced at Mahindra’s manufacturing facility in Pithampur near Indore in Madhya Pradesh, which can churn out five lakh vehicles per annum.
