India Covid Recovery Tracker – Economic Recovery Continues But Tell-Tale Signs Of Fragility Seen: Nirmal Bang

In the first fortnight of November 2021, the New Delhi traffic congestion index moderated while Google mobility was mostly flat, except for workplace mobility, which dipped.

The number of active Covid-19 cases declined by 15.8% over the previous fortnight while the number of deaths was down by 14.2%.

The incremental number of fully vaccinated people dipped over the past fortnight. As of November 16, 2021, 28% of the country’s population had received both the doses of the vaccine while 56.1% have received at least one dose.

Urban unemployment inched up over the previous fortnight while rural unemployment scenario improved.

However, we continue to see signs of government support to the rural sector waning.
