Singer Mangli’s latest track Saranga Dariya (lyrical song) from the film Love Story has set a new record in South cinema. It has clocked 50 million hits on YouTube in two weeks, beating Butta Bomma from Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo.
Expressing happiness over the success, Mangli says she’s overwhelmed with the response. She, however, says she expected the song to do well. “When I heard the lyrics my gut feeling was that the number is going to be viral. I am glad it is trending and topping many charts,” says Mangli, adding that it was team effort — Pawan’s peppy rendition, Suddala Ashok Teja garu’s lyrics, Sai Pallavi’s dance moves and Sekhar’s wonderful picturisation —that made it possible.
