Rakul Preet Singh’s recently released music video Mashooka, features her in the role of Pop Queen Goddess who takes us to her vivid, beautiful, and bubbly pop world through her lens. The actress reveals that she wanted to do a music video or a dance number for a while but wasn’t finding the right song.
“Moreover, I heard quite a few songs but when I heard Mashooka, I could instantly connect with the theme. The number has a peppy vibe and groove, so the idea fell in place,” she says. Apparently, it was the song director Charit Desai’s idea to shoot in a K Pop style where there are a lot of flashes, several outfit changes and little pop culture — all these excited her. “I thought the song would have Ariana Grande song type vibes and it’s something that we have never seen.
