Bhubaneswar: Odia Actor Sabyasachi Mishra, who has turned a messiah for hundreds of migrant workers from Odisha stranded in different parts of the country during the nation-wide lockdown, has once again hogged the headlines for a different holy and humane gesture.
This time, Mishra has arranged logistics to send thousands of coconuts (offerings from devotees) which were lying abandoned at different towns and bus stands to the Maa Tarini temple in Ghatgaon. As many as 35, 000 coconuts have been sent through special vehicles from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Chandikhol.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place, these sacred fruits were lying scattered at different market squares. Though public transportation had come to a standstill due to lockdown, the coconuts were piled up.
