ON BANNERS OF THOSE ACCUSED OF VIOLENCE DURING ANTI-CAA PROTESTS: When the UP government decided to put up hoardings “naming and shaming” those accused of violence during anti-CAA protests in Lucknow, the Allahabad High Court pulled no punches in calling the state out for its “undemocratic” infringement of privacy.

ON DR KAFEEL KHAN: The Allahabad High Court also ordered the release of Dr Kafeel Khan who was arrested on 12 December, 2019, after he, in a speech, at an anti-CAA protest, had said: “‘Mota bhai’ teaches us to become Hindu or Muslim but not human beings”, and was subsequently detained under the stringent National Security Act (NSA).
