After an action-packed league stage of the Big Bash League 2020/21, the action finally shifts to the playoff stages of Australia’s premier T20 tournament. The Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder, Adelaide Strikers and the Brisbane Heat are the five-teams that have qualified for the playoffs. The new format was introduced to provide a greater reward for those teams finishing in the top two, while also keeping more teams in the hunt in the home and away season’s latter stages. The first playoff match will be the Eliminator between Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. The equation is simple. If either team loses, they are knocked out of the Big Bash League 2020/21 edition.
