After a thumping 2-0 victory in the Test matches, the hosts Pakistan will be confident entering into the shortest format of the game and taking on a South African side, who will be without some of their key players as they selected a second-string side for the T20Is as the Test players were supposed to play in the now controversially withdrawn Test series against Australia.
Pakistan will start favourites given the familiarity with the conditions and the opposition being low on some of the star players but both teams would be looking for a winning start to the three-match series, which will be played in Lahore.
