Centre invites bid to develop voice assistant application to deliver e-government services

The Centre on Friday invited bids to develop a voice assistant application to deliver e-governance services to the common people.

It is to be noted that the chatbot will be similar to that of  Amazon’s Alexa or Google Assistant. The application is supposed to convert text into speech, and vice versa.

It is also required to interact with the public in multiple languages, collect and analyse data to give personalised experience to users.

“The platform should be able to provide assistance with general tasks, including but not limited to availing services of government and available on the UMANG platform such as registration, login, reset password, department service relation information, event, (and) new launch…etc,” the proposal document stated.
