Cuttack: A state-of-the-art inter-state bus terminal will come up in Khannagar area of Cuttack with an expenditure of Rs 65 crore, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced on Wednesday.
The proposed bus terminal to be named after freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose aimed at facilitating hassle-free movement of passengers.
The bus terminal will be constructed on 12 acres of land and have modern facilities for passengers. As many as 180 buses can be parked at the terminal at once. The three-storey terminal building will have waiting rooms for passengers, food court, cloak rooms, e-vehicle charging points, among other facilities.
Moreover, an Integrated Information Management system will be there for the passengers.
An area of around 2 acres adjoining the proposed Netaji Bus terminal, will be reserved for development of commercial complex on public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
