Kolkata: Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL), one of the nations leading cement manufacturers, celebrated the valuable contributions of 123 veteran contractors across the East region at its ‘Aap Hai Sachche Viswakarma’ felicitation initiative.
Saluting elderly veteran contractors whose expertise and craftsmanship have made innumerable dream homes of Individual House Builders a reality, the event was held during the company’s annual Viswakarma Pooja celebration in Midnapore, West Bengal.
Dalmia Bharat Limited started the ‘Aap Hai Sachche Viswakarma’ initiative in 2020 to build salience within the contractor fraternity across the region. In its inaugural year, 14 Viswakarmas were honoured, followed by 74 in 2021.
This year, the cement major celebrated a record 123 veteran contractors across the region including (45 in Bihar, 35 in Orissa, 26 in West Bengal, 11 in Jharkhand and six in Uttar Pradesh.)
