New Delhi, Nov 30: The national capital witnessed more polluted November this year than in 2019, largely due to lesser precipitation and large-scale stubble burning. The city also recorded nine “severe” air days this November, the maximum number in the month in four years.
The 30-day average AQI in November stood at 328, in the very poor category, while it was 312 in the month last year, according to Central Pollution Control Board data. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
The 30-day average was the lowest last year, while it was the highest (374) in November…
