Delhi riots: No coercive action against Facebook VP until Oct 15 says SC

New Delhi, Sep 23: The Supreme Court has directed that no coercive action be taken against the India Vice President of Facebook, Ajit Mohan in connection with the Delhi riots case.

The court also issued notices to the Delhi Assembly, Centre on a plea by the VP questioning the summons issued to him to depose in the Delhi riots case.

The panel counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi told the court that it is not proper for the court stay the proceedings qua Facebook and that is he assuring that no further proceedings summoning Mohan is being taken until the Supreme Court decides on the issue.

The court also took adverse notice of the coercive summons issued to Mohan by the Delhi panel headed by Raghav Chadha, which forces the panel to adjourn proceedings till October 15, when the court…
