Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi congratulated India on winning the Test series against Australia and said the series will be “remembered for a long time”.
On Tuesday, Australia’s fortress — The Gabba — was finally breached. It took 32 years and two months, but the unthinkable was achieved as an injury-ravaged young Indian team defeated Australia by three wickets against all odds to take the series 2-1.
“Incredible performance India! Despite so many injuries and setbacks, India have pulled off an astonishing series win. Congratulations to the Indian team, this series will be remembered for a long time,” Afridi tweeted.
