The Kilauea volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, erupted once more, sending lava more than 300 feet into the air during a Tuesday morning eruption. The lava has not threatened any residential areas. The volcano’s summit crater, located within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, has been the site of the eruption.
The most recent molten rock eruption started at 10:16 a.m., when lava began to pour onto the Halemaumau Crater floor. Lava rose 330 feet high from a vent 30 minutes later, CBS reported. According to authorities, lava fountains were rising between 16 and 200 feet by early Wednesday morning.
