Hit television series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai completed 12 years of its airing. The show went on air from January 12, 2009, and with that, the entertainment industry got a huge star, Hina Khan. The actor played the role of Akshara for eight years before bidding adieu to the show. Now, during a recent interaction, Hina spoke about playing the iconic role and the ongoing success of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
The actor told The Times of India, “When you take up a project, you never think about how it would turn out later. I know I started with Akshara, and she became larger than life and I am so proud of it. I did it for eight long years and considering how it works now; it is very difficult for actors to continue doing a show for such a long time.”
She further said, “But Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is still doing great, it feels nice to know that it is doing so well whether I am a part of it or not.”
