IIT Bombay issues travel passes to GATE candidates in view of ‘Chakka Jam’

The agitating farmers have called for a nationwide ‘Chakka Jam’ on Saturday. Keeping this in mind, candidates appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021, have been issued special certificates by IIT Bombay enabling their travel on the day.

Agitating farmers said that they will block national and state highways for three hours, starting 12pm to 3pm to register their dissent against the harassment of protesters. GATE papers will start at 9.30am on Saturday and will be held in two sessions – morning and afternoon. While the first session of exam is between 9.30am and 12.30pm, the afternoon session is between 3pm and 6pm.

In order to facilitate the students and save them from any trouble during their travels to and from the exam centre, IIT Bombay, the organising body of the exam this year, has issued special certificates to the candidates.
