Former England captain Kevin Pietersen echoed thousands of cricket fans on Monday as he criticised the scheduling of the ultimate Test – the World Test Championship (WTC) final in England at this time of the year when the weather is so unpredictable in the UK.
Pietersen said that such a ‘one-off’ important game should not be played in the UK after the fourth day of the WTC final was washed out due to persistent rain at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton. “It pains me to say it, but a ONE OFF & incredibly important cricket game should NOT be played in the UK,” he wrote.
