India suffer another big blow, Ravindra Jadeja taken to hospital after blow to thumb

After Rishabh Pant was taken to hospital after he suffered a blow to his elbow, India suffered yet another massive jolt when their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was taken to hospital for scans after suffering a blow on the left thumb while batting in the Sydney Test against Australia on Sydney. In a statement released by the BCCI, they said, “Ravindra Jadeja suffered a blow to his left thumb while batting. He has been taken for scans.” The incident took place when Ravindra Jadeja was batting with the tail and trying to protect the tailenders against the likes of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood.

The incident occurred in the fourth ball of the 99th over when Ravindra Jadeja was facing Mitchell Starc. The bowler was coming round the wicket and pounding the short ball on the stumps. On the fourth ball, Ravindra Jadeja hopped and looked to defend a short ball to the off side. In the process, he got hit on the left thumb and was in considerable pain….
