Indian embassy didn’t contact citizens in Kharkiv, alleges father of killed student

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday said that it was clear that Russian President Vladimir Putin was ready to use “barbaric and indiscriminate tactics” against civilians by bombing towers and deploying missiles to kill children.

Earlier the day, an Indian student was killed due to shelling in Ukrainian city Kharkiv, the Ministry of External Affairs said. Hours before the ministry’s statement, India had asked its citizens to leave the capital, Kyiv, immediately.

British intelligence said that Russian forces have increased their use of artillery in northern Kyiv areas and in the vicinity of Kharkiv and Chernihiv, increasing “the risk of civilian casualties”.
