Kolkata: Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Kolkata and Rotary Club of Belur have initiated a crowd-funding campaign ‘Uthe Sabke Kadam’ on ImpactGuru.com with the aim to provide prosthetic limbs to physically challenged individuals.
The initiative #UtheSabkeKadam aims at raising Rs. 75 lakh for making and fitting artificial legs for 3000 handicapped people around Kolkata and the rural areas of West Bengal.
The larger goal is to support 10,000 individuals. Asia’s most trusted healthcare group, Apollo Hospitals, has also come forward to donate Rs. 1 for every Rs. 2 received through crowdfunding.
It will be executed by NGO Mahavir Seva Sadan that has impacted countless individuals and their families in fighting with different kinds of physical disabilities since 1985.
