On Tuesday, actor Kalki Koechlin shared a stunning solo photo of herself from a photo shoot, which she did just three weeks after giving birth to her baby girl, Sappho. In the photo, a ‘serious’ Kalki is seen sitting on a chair striking a pose dressed in a beige button-down midi-dress teamed with tan loafers and a wristwatch.
And while the photo seemed gorgeous, it was Kalki’s long caption that caught our attention. In her caption, Kalki narrated her experience of returning to work – being tired, anxious, sleep-deprived and running to feed her baby girl in between shots. However, she also mentioned how with the passage of time, her perspective had changed and she was grateful now more than ever.
She wrote, “Shot in March 2020, 3 weeks after giving birth, one week before lockdown. I had hardly slept, was tired, anxious and anti-social as I ran back to the van to feed my girl in between shots. Going back to work seemed like such a struggle after what my body had gone…
