President-elect Joe Biden, over the last few weeks, nominated a long list of members for his cabinet and White House team. Since the Democrats have secured a majority in the US Senate, it is likely that Biden will be able to fill in top spots with the people he has nominated so far.

The candidates picked by Biden will have to be confirmed by the US Congress, and hearings for five nominees are scheduled ahead of his inauguration ceremony ahead of January 20.

NPR reports that the hearing for Avril Haines, who has been nominated for the position of Director of National Intelligence, is scheduled for Friday. Hearings for four other nominees is going to take place on January 19.
