LPG price hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder in Delhi, here’s how much it will cost now

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) domestic cylinder, commonly referred to as cooking gas, has been increased by Rs 50 per unit in Delhi, reported news agency ANI.

The new price of Rs 769 per 14.2 kilograms LPG cylinder would come into effect from the midnight of February 15, it said.

This is the second price hike in the month of February. The oil marketing companies had increased the price of non-subsidized LPG cylinders by Rs 25 in metro cities on February 4.

Previously, the price of domestic gas cylinders had increased twice in December. Both times, there was an increase of Rs 50 in the price of the 14 kg cylinder. From Rs 657 per cylinder, the price had gone up to Rs 707 per cylinder in December.

The price of LPG gas cylinders is determined by state-run oil companies and is revised on a monthly basis. Depending on international fuel rates and US dollar-rupee exchange rates, the prices can go up or down.
