Former US President Barack Obama on Saturday, October 31, blasted US President Donald Trump for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, and his conduct in the Oval Office, saying, he is treating the presidency as “a reality show to give him the attention that he craves.”
“The economic damage he inflicted by botching the pandemic response means he’ll be the only president since Herbert Hoover to actually lose jobs,” Obama said.
Obama governed for two terms and remains one of the most popular figures in the Democratic Party. He is offering his support on the campaign trail to the Democratic candidate who served as his vice president.
The last days of campaigning are taking place during a surge in cases of COVID-19 and hospitalizations in battleground states, including North Carolina and Pennsylvania but also Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan.
