New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The National Commission for Protection Of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Friday issued summons to the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Nayagarh to appear personally before the Commission for hearing in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of five-year-old girl Pari in Nayagarh.
Summon have been issued based on complaints that alleged the involvement of a ‘human organ trafficking’ syndicate behind the ghastly murder.
The chairperson of NCPCR, Priyank Kanungo informed the development through a tweet.
The NCPCR had earlier issued a notice to the Odisha Chief Secretary seeking a report on the status of the investigation into the abduction and murder of the little girl in July this year.
On Monday, The Commission had registered a suo motu case after taking cognizance of the reports published in Odishatv.in pertaining to the murder and alleged involvement of powerful politicians in shielding the perpetrators.
