In a recent development, actress Rakul Preet Singh has filed an application, in a pending petition, before the Delhi High Court, seeking an urgent interim direction asking the media to stop reporting about her and linking her name to the Rhea Chakraborty drug case.
She has stated that despite the High court’s order to the media to show restraint in reporting the case, it continues to report as before. In her application, Rakul Preet Singh has said that due to the negative media coverage there has been irreparable damage to her image and reputation.
Previously, the Bollywood actor, whose name also surfaced in a drugs case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, had moved the Delhi High Court seeking directions not to telecast or publish on TV channels and other platforms any content related to the narcotic drugs case that maligns or slanders her image.
