After Maharashtra, now the Rajasthan government has imposed Section 144 in Jodhpur till March 21 due to a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. The government has made it mandatory to allow no more than 100 people to attend weddings and public gatherings. According to an order issued by the police, only essential services, schools and colleges have been allowed to function. Jodhpur has recorded a total of 457 cases and 9 COVID-19 related deaths till now.
Rajasthan has till now witnessed 3,19,626 coronavirus cases and 2785 COVID-19 related deaths. In the last 24 hours, Rajasthan has recorded 83 new cases.
Meanwhile, several states including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Punjab have reported a steep rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and have sounded a high alert across all adjoining districts and will also conduct thermal scanning of all those travelling from the high-risk state.
