Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener Shane Watson recently revealed that he opted to play the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) despite losing his grandmother just a day or two before the much-awaited clash in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Watson decided to disclose this heartbreaking news on his YouTube show ‘TheDebrief’, right after CSK faced a 44-run loss against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday.
“My grandma (mother of my mother) passed away on Wednesday. I want to send my love to my family back at home and I know how incredible mom was my grandmother to my mom. My heart goes out to my family at home. I’m sorry that I can’t be there right now. My love goes to you,” he said in the video.
