Tamil Nadu dentist jailed for allegedly forging daughter’s NEET score card for Medical admission

In a shocking incident, a 47 year-old dentist from from Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district was arrested for allegedly forging his daughter’s National Eligibility cum Entrance Test score card.

Not just that, he also forged a call letter for medical counselling to get an admission in MBBS for his daughter, police said on Saturday.

The dentist, Balachandran, from Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district was arrested and produced before a court which remanded him to judicial custody on Friday.

A police officer said the dentist has been lodged at the Saidapet sub-jail.

The matter came into notice recently during MBBS admission counselling session, where the father and daughter duo turned up and produced a ‘call letter’ for counselling with a ‘NEET marksheet’ that showed a score of 610. 

It was during close inspection, medical admission authorities found that her name did not figure either in the rank chart or call list for counselling.
