Visakhapatnam: The 32-year-old senior chemist at Synergene Active Ingredients, K Suryanarayana, a was among the four workers critically injured in the pharma blast in the Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City’s B Block in Achyutapuram, Anakapalli district early on Friday. Tragically, Suryanarayana succumbed to his injuries on Monday, leaving behind a grieving family.
Suryanarayana’s cousin, Bogi Naidu, told Deccan Chronicle that the hospital management had not informed the family about the death. “We got to know of his death when the management informed us about an ex-gratia payment of Rs 1 crore from the company.”
Suryanarayana’s wife and their newborn baby are currently undergoing treatment at Ragole Hospital in Srikakulam district. The baby, who is underweight, has been admitted to the NICU. The family also includes a 2-year-old son.
