25,237 Students Complete Their IIT Education in : 2022-23


The government has sanctioned the establishment of research parks at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Madras, Bombay, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, and IISc Bangalore. The parks will be set up at a cost of Rs. 75 crore each and will be used to augment the research ecosystem in the country.

The minister further informed about the government’s recent initiatives to promote research in India, such as the implementation of the Global Initiative for Academic Network (GIAN). GIAN is a program that seeks to tap the talent pool of scientists and entrepreneurs from abroad to augment the country’s existing academic resources.

The minister said that the government is committed to making India a global hub for research and innovation. The establishment of these research parks and the implementation of GIAN are important steps in this direction.
