Ishara Art Foundation and The NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Art Gallery recently opened exhibitions featuring solo projects by critically acclaimed Delhi-based contemporary artist Amar Kanwar. It is for the first time that a parallel presentation, exploring Kanwar’s artistic practice in depth through compelling multi-media installations, is being shown across two institutions.
While Ishara Art Foundation, is showcasing Such a Morning (2017) until May 20, the NYUAD Art Gallery is showing The Sovereign Forest (2011) until May 30. Ishara Art Foundation is a non-profit institution dedicated to contemporary art from South Asia and The NYUAD Art Gallery is the University’s academic museum-gallery.
