“The pixie cut is one of the ultimate haircuts for summer. It showcases your facial features and makes your eyes really pop. However, this hairstyle is also fantastic for the heatwave weather we’re experiencing at the moment,” explains Suzie. As anyone with long hair knows, it can be an absolute nightmare in the summer but the pixie cut is the ideal humidity-proof option because your hair is kept out of your face and requires little styling; plus, it won’t get stuck to your back like a ponytail would.
“Ask your hairdresser to add some layers within your pixie cut, which will also remove some of the excess hair and allow it to feel even lighter on your head,” she suggests. The at-home maintenance is super low-key, too. “Simply spritz some of your favourite heat protection spray or a texturising spray such as a salt spray to add texture and give your hair hold for a funky look, whilst also protecting from the sun rays.
