The Common University Entrance Exam (CUET) has been opted by at least 168 universities so far for the undergraduate admissions process. Only 90 universities approved CUET for UG programme admissions last year. This year, more institutions are expected to opt for the test for admission, the official said.
The 168 universities include 31 state universities and 44 central institutions, including Cotton University in Guwahati, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics in Karnataka, and Barkatullah University in Bhopal.
“For their undergraduate programmes, 27 recognised universities will admit students depending on their CUET results. This year, the same admission test is being taken by 66 private universities, including Bennett University in Uttar Pradesh, NIIT University in Rajasthan, and UPES in Dehradun ” as per reports.
