Fresh off the heels of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week, the fashion pack ventured to the Italian island of Sardinia to bare witness to the latest Alta Moda collection from Dolce & Gabbana. For a fashion extravaganza spanning a total of three days, the iconic Italian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana sought inspiration from the idyllic island situated in the Mediterranean Sea. At the archaeological park of Nora, the spectacular womenswear portion of the haute couture showcase was set against an installation by renowned American artist Phillip K. Smith III. Come sunset, models hit the runway to unveil creations celebrating Sardinian heritage – a symphony of craftsmanship and beauty while paying tribute to the island’s rich cultural legacy. Filigreed corsets and exuberant goddess-worthy gowns were fawned over by the likes of Naomi Campbell, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Mariacarla Boscono who were sat perched on the front row.
