Goa is all set to host one of its major festivals Shigmo Festival 2021. Reportedly, the state has already begun the festivities concerning the festival. Considered as one of the most vibrant, spirited and exhilarating celebrations of the spring season, Shigmo Festival is an auspicious Hindu festival and one of the major spring festivals.
Celebrated by one and all, Shigmo Festival spans five days and also involves the Holi celebrations. The festivities are filled with exuberance and features traditional performances by the local folk groups. Depicting fables from the Hindu Mythology, the dance performances are a major highlight of this festival.

After a strenuous year due to COVID-19, the people of Goa heaved a sigh of relief when the Goa state government decided to host the Shigmo Festival this year. However, the Shigmo celebrations will be limited to only three cities of Goa, i.e. Ponda, Panaji and Mapusa.
