Is Adapting to Blended Hybrid Learning Satisfactory For Universities


Designing effective hybrid classes requires a complete re-imagination of the learning spaces and pedagogy necessitating a redesign of the classroom architecture and infrastructure.

At JK Lakshmipat University, after successfully completing hundreds of courses in various disciplines in online mode in the last one and a half years, many faculty’s experiences of teaching in hybrid mode in the last few weeks have not been so satisfactory. They are now keenly looking forward to getting back to full physical classes. Students and faculty’s feedback from other universities is also similar. 

Hybrid classes create an additional cognitive load on teachers because they have to frequently switch their attention between their computer screen, the classroom’s writing board, and physically present students….
