Microsoft New Job Cut Round, Letting Go of 276 Employees


SAN FRANCISCO: In a recent round of job cuts, Microsoft has taken the decision to lay off 276 employees, primarily from customer service, support, and sales teams.

These fresh job cuts extend beyond the previously announced global layoffs of 10,000 by Microsoft on January 18, according to Geek Wire.

Microsoft has downsized its workforce in Washington State, affecting 210 individuals in its Bellevue and Redmond offices, along with 66 virtual staffers, as per the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN).

A Microsoft spokesperson stated, “Organizational and workforce adjustments are an integral and routine part of our business management.”

Furthermore, the spokesperson added, “We will consistently prioritize and invest in strategic growth areas for the future, while providing unwavering support to our valued customers and partners.”
