Tamil Nadu State government has launched an exclusive web portal for government school teachers to create a common online platform for various training activities, including for professional development. The portal would provide curated and standards-aligned teaching, learning and practice resources, videos, interactives, simulations, online courses and training modules. The teachers from government and aided schools have Educational Management Information System (EMIS), it is a common platform that connects them with students, managements and parents.
A senior official from School Education Department told a news agency that the new portal, Tamil Nadu Teacher Platform (TNTP), is the state-owned portal that would also be a centralised repository accessible to teachers across the State.
