USM expands its reach to teachers


Universal Solidarity Movement (USM) Indore has been organizing webinars for school teachers from October 2020 onwards on the theme, “Teachers as Mentors”. From January 2 to 5, 200 teachers of five schools participated in the webinars conducted by the USM. The schools are 1) Queen Mary’s Convent School, Bhopal 2) St. Antony’s Gianelli Convent School Nepanagar, MP 3) St. Antony’s Convent School, Sonkach MP (English Medium) 4) St. Antony’s Convent School, Sonkach MP (Hindi Medium) and 5) St. Gianelli Convent School Nagpur MS.

From October 2020 to January first week USM could organize webinars for 850 teachers of 17 schools in seven states. The webinars were found to be very effective, as many teachers adopted resolutions at the end of the webinars to become effective mentors.

The webinar consists of four sessions of one and half hours each spread out in four days. The four sessions are focused on four interrelated topics. They are 1) Characteristics of a mentor 2) Education…
