Bangalore: Volvo Group has partnered with Amrita University and Thapar Institute to enhance industry-academia connections and prepare students for the automotive engineering sector. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to provide engineering students in mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer science fields with specialized training that makes them industry-ready. The MoU was signed today with Mr. Kamal Bali, Managing Director of Volvo Group India, and university representatives present at the ceremony.
A key part of this partnership is the introduction of a two- to four-semester-long credit program, which will cover industry-specific topics. Volvo Group will contribute by training faculty members, sending industry experts as trainers, and providing real-world projects, guest lectures, and co-teaching opportunities.
